Detailed Information
1. Complete the application form, including visual images, and a member of the Luxury Division team will contact you within 24 hours. The item(s) you wish to consign will be discussed directly with you. Luxury Division may then request that an item(s) is sent to Luxury Division for authentication and valuation prior to the item being offered on www.luxurydivision.com for sale. The Luxury Division brand experts will be objective in their assessment of every item and may determine that it is not the appropriate time to sell an item (in the case of seasonal items for example) or that the item is not suitable. Luxury Division makes every effort to achieve the best prices for its clients and therefore feels that honest and objective advice at the early stages of consignment is in the best interests of its clients.
2. Please send the item to Luxury Division. The charges for shipping and the risks are at your expense and Luxury Division will fully insure all items at their minimum value once they are received by Luxury Division. Risk only passes to Luxury Division once items are accepted by Luxury Division.
3. If you wish to sell an item(s) then the owner of the item(s) must state that the items do not infringe any intellectual property rights and that Luxury Division is entitled to sell the items within the European Union. The owner must agree to indemnify items in respect of all costs (including legal costs) in the event that statement is found to be untrue.
4. Every item is researched, authenticated and assessed with a sale price discussed and agreed with the seller prior to Luxury Division selecting items for sale on www.luxurydivision.com. Luxury Division makes stringent efforts to ensure that every item it offers for sale is an original or a genuine designer item. If Luxury Division deems that there has been an infringement of intellectual property rights then Luxury Division may return the said item and it will be at the sellers expense or, in some cases, Luxury Division will destroy an item and will bear no liability whatsoever to the seller and the seller will have no recourse against it.
5. Once an item has been selected for sale by Luxury Division it will be photographed and a description prepared. A date for the item to be featured on www.luxurydivision.com will be agreed with the seller. This may not be immediate due to seasonal trends for example but will be in the best interests of the seller. If an item is withdrawn by the seller within 14 days once the selection has been agreed between Luxury Division and the seller and the sale process has started a fee of £50 will be charged by Luxury Division to the seller.
6. The sale period will be agreed with the seller - generally three months - however this is dependent on the item and seasonal variations.
7. Once a sale has been achieved a member of the Luxury Division will contact the seller by phone and email. The item purchased is then shipped to the buyer and once confirmation has been given that the item has been received and accepted then payment to the seller by Luxury Division will be made once the monies have been received by Luxury Division in cleared funds.
8. The seller receives 60% of the final sale price for every item with Luxury Division receiving 40%. Fees apply to items sold. In some instances an amount from the sellers 60% due may be retained by Luxury Division as a bond against potential claims.
